John Maddocks is an award-winning travel photojournalist. John currently
serves on the Committee of the Australian Society of Travel Writers,
where he previously served from 2007 to 2009. His articles and images
appear regularly in major national and international mass circulation
newspapers and magazines including The Australian, The Sun Herald, The
Sunday Age, the Sunday Herald Sun, The Brisbane Times, Vacations and
Travel, The Open Road, Royal Auto, Get Up and Go, Australian Traveller,
Luxury Travel, Burke's Backyard magazine, Out There, Country Living
(UK), AA Directions, Discover magazine, Adventure (NZ), Backpacker
Essentials, Asian Geographic, RV Experience, Scion magazine, World
Adventurer and WA Today. John holds a Master of Arts with first class
honours and PhD in English from the University of Sydney.
